Review:

Tim: The most interesting aspect of The 6th Day is not the action scenes, the special effects, or the philosophical questions it raises about cloning. Rather, it is the incredibly interesting ideas of the future the movie creates. Whether it be computer helmets for football players, cab fees paid electronically by scanning a fingerprint, or the dozens of new technology the film uses to create the futuristic world in which the action takes place.

is a good movie. Arnold gives his usual action performance. While he does do a fine job with this movie, if you see only one Schwarzenegger film in your life, I would suggest this not be it. He has made far better films in his day. One disappointing aspect of this film is the part played by Robert Duvall. While it is true he is not meant to be a huge part in this film, I was letdown by how seldom you saw him, and the small role he played.

Nonetheless, I do recommend seeing The 6th Day. It combines action, special effects, cloning, and humor. One of the funniest lines in the film is when Arnold suggests to Goldwyn's character that he clone himself while he is still alive so he can go and f*** himself.

The film at times has its unbelievable parts, and Arnold does have a few corny lines to throw in there, but all in all, this is a good film. While I can't recommend buying this film- because I doubt you'd want to watch it more than once. However, it is worth seeing, and I do recommend renting it.
