The two hit it off, but their relationship is threatened when Paige discovers that he is actually Prince Edward of Denmark.

Review:

Tim: The Prince and Me is a cookie-cutter romantic comedy. It has the same elements as every other Rom-Com without trying to change much at all. Imagine all the characteristics of every romance-comedy you have seen, add in a ridiculous "real-life" fairy tale, and you have this film.

I found the entire movie to be utterly unbelivable and silly. The whole love affair witht he prince and an intelligent girl from Wisconsin insults our intelligence. The only reason they chose Wisconsin as the girl's background is to further show how different she is from the prince. We know this already, thank you for not putting any effort into this film at all. The progression of the relationship between the two further blurs the line between reality and a poorly constructed fairy tale. This film is meant to show that fairy tales can exist in real life, but it does a poor job doing that. Nothing in this movie feels like it could actually happen.

Julia Stiles doesn't give much of anything to the film. She has been so amazing in some films (like 10 Things I Hate About You). Here, she is just taking up space. The same can be said for Luke Mably. The two have absolutely no chemistry and are not fun to watch on screen for a moment.

There are much more intelligent, fun, and entertaining romantic comedies out there. Unless you are 13, I recommend you pass this film by.
